Erik is a Research Assistant, studying the Political Economy of China and focusing on US-China Climate policy interpretation and analysis. In particular, they are researching loopholes in existing US-China climate and sustainability guidelines. They are interested in analyzing the impact of US-China Climate policy on people and energy access in the Global South. Their experiences organizing students and lobbying administrators to found the first Green Revolving Fund at a California Community College, paired with over a decade of studying Mandarin, teaching English in Yangshuo, Guangxi, and working on a rural dairy farm near Lincang, Yunnan inform their research and analysis.
