Paulina Sandoval is a Chilean environmental lawyer and a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) candidate in Berkeley School of Public Policy (GSPP). She has a focused interest in environmental law and policy, and climate change law. At CCCI, Paulina is researching on climate change policy. Prior to joining Berkeley GSPP and CCCI, Paulina was the Head of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Environment in Chile (2018-2022), where she led the approval of the Climate Change Framework Law, recently enacted. She also has extensive experience in environmental policy both in the public and private sectors, including carbon pricing, environmental impact assessment, protected areas, waste management, and air/water quality issues. Paulina holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree at New York University, with a specialization in environmental law, and a law degree from Universidad Catolica in Chile.
